Jesus, thank you for being with me
Through the hours of this day,
Help me to remember your presence
When my mind is overwhelmed.
If I am not careful I feel like an island
Set adrift in a world operated by egos
Then silently I reach
out to you,
Help me for my mind is overwhelmed.
Then in the evening my focus clears
To replan the course ahead
Knowing, the way will have difficult times
But the ending will glorify You.
That something of value will be built
By little steps day after day,
Take this vessel and walk
Your chartered road planned for me.
Take my fragileness and strengthen me,
Take my fear replacing it with bold faith,
Let me not count the hours of work
But only the joy of a job
Joshua 1:9 9
I command you be strong and courageous!
Do not be afraid or discouraged.
For the LORD your God is with you
wherever you go." NLT

nighttime, you set fears alive in me,
They torment me with their fearful futures
That at first scare me
and shatter my peace
My mind does grab ahold and I quake.
But I have ahold on reality that does aid,
I turn to Jesus, the source of my sanity,
Calling Jesus in faith to come to my aid,
has to leave, my peace returns.
Do I still have to face the future so unknown,
Yes. for that is the
way of life on Earth,
But I can face it not alone for Jesus
Is my friend who cares and loves me.
So Satan be gone with your stressful song,
Your fearful thoughts of dire future results,
Jesus told us
in the Scriptures to trust
In Him and this is exactly what I do.
And fear turns into expanding joy
Even the unknown, for God controls
All the parts of my life, even the bad things
make me turn always to Him.
For His love is beyond measure,
I am so blessed.
